    Results page layout

    Hi,

We have sucessfully uploaded our site (www.stuartshearsby.com), please give feedback. But when conducting a search in the catalog, the results page does not display properly. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

Everything appears functional Aran, although first impression was that it lacked a but of umph.

There's no products to search at the moment, but the standard no match info page seems normal. If you are expecting the fragments to get indexed then check in the search settings that you have 'checked' fragments to be included.

    A few additional points:
You might want to consider adding a link to your logo back to the home page.
Renaming your brochure page titles to something more meaningful than just 'Home' or 'Repairs'.
I didn't see a sitemap or a link to one.
You have no 404 handling page or redirection on page not found.
Your cgi-bin directory is not protected and can be listed in the browser.
I think an alternative to just a mobile number would be better - perhaps even just buying an 0870 number and redirecting it to your mobile or answerphone.
On the same note it would also be better to have an email address linked to your domain rather than a hotmail address.
Although not perhaps of so much benefit but worthwhile for the small effort needed - you have no Meta Description or Keywords tags in your pages.

      Hi Duncan,

Many thanks for the speedy and constructive feedback. You have certainly given us several points to consider further. If you search for "flowers" you will see our results page problem.

      Thanks again

search results use Act_primarycheckout as the default template, either change this template to match Act_primary or go to default layouts and tell actinic to use act-primary as the template for the checkout.

          hi Jo,

We have tried your suggestion but the problem still remains. When comparing the html of the act_primary and ac_primary checkout we noticed though that the basehref url's point to different locations - act_primary points to "www.stuartshearsby.com/acatalog/" and act_primarycheckout points to "www.stuartshearsby.com". Could this have anything to do with it?

          Many thanks

          Aran

To all who contributed to this thread,

Thanks for all your suggestions we have now resolved the problem. It was just a case of reloading the smart theme, which sorted search results template, and then customising it again.

            Thanks

            Aran
