upload problems

hi guysl,
trying to upload my site and it keeps freezing when it gets to uploading the base files. the file in question is bb000001.pl. i have tried restarting my machione. purging all content, and refreshing the site but even when i refresh the site it freezes on the same file!
Any ideas would be welcome

Try the test button in Advanced | Network Settings - do you get any error messages?

Was the site working before - or is this a first upload? If it was OK before - has the host changed anything (upgraded server-based software, changed permissions - etc)?

An error occured while checking the FTP transfer mode -- 200 Type set to A
200 PORT command successful
425 Unable to build data connection: Connection timed out
Try using the other mode.

this is the error i get when testing the site. i think my host must have changed something as the site used to upload fine all the time.

Tarik - you can only try what the message suggests - if you have a tick in "Use Passive FTP" remove it, if you do not have a tick, add one - and try again. Let us know how you get on.
