Actinic doesn't always send order received e-mails

My actinic v7 only intermittently sends e-mails to me to let me know that I have an order waiting.

Anyone else suffering this problem?

Is it a common one and if so how can I fix it?

An email is sent for the first order only. A new email will not be sent until orders are downloaded and there are none waiting on the server.

The first order on a clean website should generate an "orders waiting" email. There should be no further "orders waiting" emails until you have done a download and re-uploaded a clean site.

Then the first order should generate.....
