setting up contact us form

I have a contact us button on my index page, iv'e tested it and all it does is bring a blank email from outlook. How do i direct the button to the contact us form or how do i change it so it at least inserts a default email address into the To: field in the email.

Hi,

If I remember correctly I just copied the form HTML(view source) for the contact button in the catalog and pasted it into a brochure fragment that was created for a brochure page on my index page.

Because it was the same HTML it worked the same even in a different place.
