Poduct images stored outside the site folder

Some of my images are stored outside the site1 folder in

c:\ACT_IMAGES\balloon_bq\menu_dad.jpg

This ok when the site is uploaded but the local preview doesnt work

can i fix the double c:/?

You are best moving all the images inside the root1 folder into say a new /images subfolder - that makes Actinic work much more hapilly and will ensure all images are picked up during snapshots should your machine die

Doing as Jont suggests is the best idea.

If you've hundreds of such images then it would be simple to use an Access query to ActinicCatalog.mdb to change all entries in the Image FileName column of the Product table.
