Checkout Buttons not quite working as they should

I am in the process of changing the checkout buttons to graphics and have completed the process as laid out in the advanced user guide.

All seems to work except for the last page. If you select the option to send to a different address from the invoice address and then click on back/cancel or change location buttons it just takes you to the next stage of the checkout (i.e. completes the order and takes you to credit card/cheque payment).

Try this using credit card payment and then cancel on the protx screen.

The buttons work fine for the rest of the checkout pages, just not on this page

Anyone have any ideas or experience with this??

    Thanks
    Mark

    Mark,

Tried the site and it works perfectly fine for me. Hitting cancel on the delivery address page, takes me back to the index page, back to the previous page.

Try deleting your cookies and temporary internet files and then trying the store.

    Kind regards,

      Hi Bruce

You are right to say it all works fine normally. However, when you have selected send to a seperate invoice address and use the address book function to save an address this is when the checkout buttons behave wrong.

I have just deleted all cookies and temp internet files and gone through the checkout again.

It works fine if the invoice and delivery addresses are the same.
It also works fine when you want to deliver to a seperate address without saving into the address book.
However, when there is an address in the address book that is when the problem arises.

If you can Bruce, can you give this a try. I have tried this on 3 seperate computers, all with the same effect.

      Thanks
      Mark

        Hi,

Can replicate with the steps you provided. I will look into this first thing tomorrow.

          Hi Mark,

Please raise a support ticket on this one @ http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm . I have checked the source on the site and it seems to look fine. Can you check in Business Settings | Payment and Security, if you have another payment method other than the two mentioned on the website and if this has been set to 'fallback'. If so, uncheck and delete the payment method row.

You also need to go over the change you made as per the AUG on changing the appearance of the payment methods to radio buttons, you need to make sure you have <INPUT TYPE='RADIO' NAME='PAYMENTMETHOD' VALUE='%s' CHECKED>%s<BR> as the last line, this will ensure that a payment method is selected.

          Kind regards,

            Hi Bruce,

Have checked all that and all is fine. I only have the 2 payment methods you see, all others are deleted and I don't have a fallback option selected.
I have also checked the line in ID 1951, and it is as you have written.

Have raised a support ticket now, I guess that you have no further clues. I can only assume that it has something to do with the address book function, but my knowledge of PERL is to limited to even start to figure it out.

            Thanks
