three columns & product thumbnails

Sorry to return to this old theme!

I'm trying to set up a 3-col page with thumbnails. I've follwed the instructions on pg 24 & 25 of the design guide and get to the bit where it says..

'you will also need to create at least twp section link layout templates - one for section links and one for section links in three columns'

sorry to be thick - but how do I create these templates?

are you doing this for the main pages or just the index page, i.e. the first page people see

I'd like to do it for both but for now I'm trying to do it for just one section
e.g. sleeping bags which will have thumbnails of all the bags we do laid out in three cols. when a thumnail or more info link is clicked for a particlular bag it opens a page with details of just that bag.

This is the code I use in the text box for one of my sites using 6 columns

I place it in the Text box on the home page

I dont know if its technically correct (I doubt it as i am a novice at html, but it works)

You are welcome to use it just change the url's and images
