    Default Actinic printer

Actinic insists on using a non-default printer I have installed on this pc, have to change it via Printing Properties each time its re-loaded. Any way I can adjust it to the regular default printer?

The `old` printer gets hooked up weekly for scanning purposes (since its better than the `new` one for that reason), so cannot uninstall it.

Word, etc prints to the correct default printer no problem.

        lol, must be

Have actually deleted that registry items but still chooses the old (and non-default) printer as its first choice.

Weird, the knowledge base says the same thing. i.e. delete the default printer key from the registry. http://knowledge.actinic.com/acatalo...33.html#aKB318

I can't think of anything else. Sure you deleted the right key?

Yep, and it recreates itself as you'd hope but still chooses the `old` printer as its first choice. It is soley an Actinic issue as I've looked at most things I have that require printing and they all call on the correct `new` (and default) printer.

As you'd well imagine Mike, its not the biggest problem in the world to change the printer settings on Actinic after every re-boot/re-start but still shouldn't happen...

Looking at the registry a bit closer the `old` printer title appears under the print settings folders a couple of times, even amending these to the new printer ID gets reverted back when rebooting the pc. Only rebooting Actinic keeps it as the new one. Obviously something gets regenerated and overwrites data with a pc reboot?

Very much so Jo, also as a side issue I've always found it odd you cannot print the invoice for an order again without going into `completed`. (ie when it gets printed to the wrong printer in error). Grrr.

                      Hi George

I'm afraid I have nothing to add here. The only fix I know about is the registry one. You could always try uninstalling the printer that keeps showing up in Actinic and see if that makes a difference - then re-install it again.
