Free Handling on Specific Items

Hi

I am just trying to finalise my Actinic Site, and have an issue.

All but 3 of the products in my store need to have a handling charge applied. This is set at a default of 30 pence.

Is there a way to remove the handling from a product or product group. All items in the store are VAT exempt.

I have tried the help files and a forum search, but cannot find the answer.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Lon,

Welcome to the community. Handling as you would already have found out is charged globally and you cannot exempt certain products from the charge. A way around this would be to add the Handling charge as a selected component and remove the charge from Shipping & Handling. This way you can choose which ones do or dont incurr a handling charge.

Thanks Bruce, I can see how that would work, but with the number of products I have, it's not really practical.
The solution I have come up with, is to create a product group for those items with free handling, and have applied a Łoff discount (called free handling) to that group. As the free handling only applies to 6 products, this seemed the most straightforward approach
