    problems with search results

I recently set up a shop and have discovered that when you use the search page the search page itself is fine but the search results page is not showing the graphics in the header or footer and the links from the search results and shop menu bar are wrong. They link to the correct files but in the cgi-local directory....

Any suggestions on how to sort this out?

    Hi Phoebe

What is the URL of your site? It may be a problem with the network settings or with a missing variable in one your templates.

      Hi Ben

The URL is www.pottypaper.comwww.pottypaper.com then visit the shop section. It is so odd because every other machine I have used has displayed it correctly and the search results link to www.pottypaper.com/acatalog/whateverxxx but on mine the links all send me to www.pottypaper.com/cgi-local/whateverxxx.

I am using Norton Personal Firwall - it is on its basic recommended settings with exception of me allowing a few known elements.

Thanks for any help you can give me....

        Hi there

I don't get any problems either so it could be that Norton Firewall is causing an issue on your PC. One suggestion therefore is to get you upgraded to the very latest version of v4 (called 4.1.1) which can be downloaded from HERE. You will then be able to apply a script patch to work around an issue that is fairly common when using Norton Internet Security.

        Hope that sorts it.

          Hi Chris

Does sound like this might at least be worth a go. However I can only find links for upgrading from v4.1.0 and later. I am currently using v4.0.7 (oooh I'm so behind the times!)

Where can I find a download link for the full version of v4.1.0??

          Thanks

            Hi there

If you register for the '4.1.1 patch' then you will get a link to download the full version of 4.1.0 as well as a link to download the upgrade patch to 4.1.1.

You need to upgrade to 4.1.0 before you upgrade to 4.1.1.

            Hope that's clear.
