what on earth have i done?

    http://www.surf-wax.co.uk/acatalog/a...mera-case.html

    ultra wide page in firefox..

Removing the bottom table (containing the <ul> listed T&C, PayPal etc) outside of the containing table was the only way to stop it and the containing table filling beyond the window width in FF.... eyes too tired and weary to see why though (I just went through deleting all tables until found the errant table)

BTW you have left the temp actinic.css link in the Act_ProductLine.html (this is not causing the problem as I removed all CSS links)

According to the Javascript console you have

I am getting very strange behaviour. At times, when I click the left menu items one at a time, starting from the bottom, they disappear off the page until finally they are all gone and their cell collapses reducing the white area. Next time, they will work as expanding links and I will see the subsection content link.

          Hi Bill

I've done about 6 updates in the past 10mins, it shouldbe stable now, and fixed I hope.

          Unless you know better.

I don't know what the problem was I just rejigged the tables, deleted them recreated them and stuck the content back in - the normal mindless stuff you have to resort to when it makes no sense.

Its got me baffled as I made a minor change to the site today, replaced the image bestseller3.gif and changed the link from it. So nothing that would cause this behaviour.

I'd appreciate you testing the left menu again (its Norman;s) so I doubt there is a problem with it, probably just the effect of the upload

Same thing with the menu, Jo. I did a full refresh before I looked again so there was no cache effect. Sometimes the items are erased from the page, sometimes they act like a menu. Surfwax jpeg shows 50% disappeared.

Even when they act like a menu, something is still wrong though. surfwax2 jpeg shows a the menu is not moving back up to fill the gap when a section is expanded then minimised.

Your page width is now around 1200

I saw that weird behaviour earlier today but now it's gone.

However I still see some CSS errors (view page with Firefox and use Tools / JavaScript Console) to get the list.

It may be worth fixing these in case they're contributing to the problem.

Thanks for cofirming all is more or less ok Norman. I think Bill's problems were a delayed effect of my numerous uploads.

I'll check out the css. I've removed the extra css inclusions as spotted my Jonty.
