    checkout security

    Hi All
Obviously not looking for proof but do people generally feel that a checkout page should be under https (ie. do shoppers look for security at this point?) or just when they are entering their card details. If the answer is the former, anyone any experience of using a 1&1 ssl certificate?
    Regards

            easy

login into your 1and1 control panel

            select domains

            select dedicated ssl certificate

these certificates are provided by GeoTrust and cost £3.99 a month. Free if you have professional hosting package

                Hi Kevin

Please could you let us know whether you are referring to show the SSL image or the padlock on the checkout pages?

                  Hi All
I finally managed to crack this last night, with a very very helpful support assistant from 1&1. Basically, my .htaccess file was causing various issues and so I have renamed it out of the way. I am now setup to use SSL on checkout only....hooray!
