    Multiple currencies etc

Hi. I'm evaluating Actinic for a client's website. This particular client wants to:

    > Accept payment in $, £ or €
    > take payment into a different bank account according to the currency (i.e. hold bank accounts in each currency)
    > Charge UK VAT for EU sales but not for outside the EU (we can determine the country by the delivery address)

Is it possible to achieve these requirements using any Actinic product?

    Thanks -

    Unfortunatley no.

actinic is one currency only, if you display prices in other currencies they are not converted real time (there may be a plugin for this) and the price charged in the checkout is your chosen primary currency.

so you would have to have one shop per currency to acheive what you want

I know Worldpay will allow you to take payment in multi currencies, but this is still paid back to you in your chosen currency to one bank acct

You can charge uk sales VAT, and allow other (ex EU) to opt themselves out of VAT - there is an option in the checkout which is customer driven and not site driven using delivery/invoice address

        Hi,

This area hasn't changed in the software. Norman Rouxel at http://www.drillpine.biz has a plug-in (NorPrice) that allows a customer to dynamically select and display an alternative currency throughout site but I don't know if it allows a customer to actually pay in that currency. You could ask him if it does. If it does, then this thread might be of use.
