Best way to redirect to https?

Hello,

We are developing a site that will be running under HTTPS (e.g. https://www.blah.com/index.htm).

What is the best way to redirect traffic from the normal URL, http://www.blah.com, to the homepage on the above site?

I believe that this has to be done in a certain manner since there may be search engine issues in having the whole site under SSL.

I have access to Dreamweaver & Frontpage but am new to the technical side of things. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Matching this thread to your other one about SSL and your inexperienced host.

I feel your best solution is to use Actinic Shared SSL (£99 pa) or a PSP.

this way you don't need to secure your site.
