If you zip the files up and have links to them then when the user clicks on them they will be asked if they would like to save them on their hard disk. So you can either add free products to your catalog and have links to the zips in there or create a special download page to do this.
If you don't want to do this you can buy a digital download module from Actinic which associates products with files and sends the download address to the user when they have 'purchased' one of them.
