    Hi Bob,

What exactly do you want to do? The snapshot *.acd is in a compressed zipped format and can be uploaded to a server anyway. On the other hand when Actinic is uploading to the server the mode needs to be ASCII.

    Kind regards,

I want our secretary to keep a snapshot on our server for safe keeping, so I need to know if it should be uploaded as ASCII or Binary.

        Hi Bob,

The Actinic snapshot file is a binary file, so you should upload it as binary. If you were to upload it as an ASCII file, it will get corrupted.

That is correct. Thanks Nadeem, was about to post an amendment to the previous post but you beat me to it.

Make sure you upload the file with a name known only to you. Otherwise you might expose your entire customer database to the world (and even worse, the Data Protection Registrar).

It is in a high level directory that is also pw protected.
