Contact from button not working

Hi - i cannot find a lead pointing to this - sure its there somewhere but..

The send button on my contact page does nothing - the contact page is set up with the "NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBMAILLINK" on an image called "contact-off.gif

In my Actinic tree i have a brochure page and fragment set up with the image only template and the image contact-off.gif

I am not sure whether i need the brochure page and fragment at all but however the contact page is not working

Hi Graeme,

This looks like the MailForm.pl has been corrupted or an issue with the Act_ContactUs.html template. I would suggest deleting MailForm.pl from the site1 folder and replacing with the original from within the 'Original' folder, then copy Act_ContactUs.html from Formats/Themes, if using a css theme copy from BusinessCss else from Business and replace in the Site1 folder. Update and let us know what happens.

Hi - no joy with copying MailForm.pl and the file Act_ContactUs.html. Any other ideas - as my other site works fine http://www.active-e-commerce.co.uk/a.../shophome.html - moreover if i go back a few snapshots it works too??

The mail form and the contact us template are generated within the primary template, so if the form is not working, then would suggest trying assiging one of the other primary templates to your site as a temp measure to see if it works, which if it does, then this would suggest you have broken something in that primary template (like the formstart formend netquoetvar) amongst many other potentials, but atleast if you try this and it works, then you know where to look closer at.

A bit of a mess isn't it.

From the home page, Contact Us opens (eventually) a mailto: in my desktop email prog.

From the link you posted it returns a corrupt page, and from the Madonna page it uses the same URL to return a pefectly valid Contact form.

I am pretty sure this is all related to the faffing about you do with com and co.uk and what not in javascript. Basically none of your pages and even less of your visitors know where they are or where they are going next.

Yes - on comparison with my backup ActPrimary.html - there were basic elements missing from the html within "NETQUOTEVAR:FORMBEGIN - NETQUOTEVAR:FORMEND" - my mistake but thanks excellent guidance.
