Can I import product data from Excel spreadsheet?

Hi

Having contructed my sections and sub sections for my content tree, I'm wanting to import product description and price info from an EXCEL spreahsheet - I was told this is possible? and if so, coudl somebody advise me how I go about this?

I think the information you need is in the actinic help file. Look for 'linking to an external database / file' or something similar.

It is also worth creating a test export file from Actinic just to get a feel for the page structure

'linking' to an external file is different to importing.

When you import, you take everything from the product ID, it's section, and all relevant data.

When you link to an external file, you can specify which fields you want to link (such as only the price and product description). Actinic will then use the relevant data from the external file for the specified fields and products.
