Limiting number of products displayed - is this possible?

Hi

My content tree consists of SECTIONS -> SUB SECTIONS -> and products under the relevant subsection.

Due to the design going to be used. This is the best structure to use. I was just wondering if there was a setting somewhere, where I can state that only X amount products be displayed at a time? and have some kind of NEXT link to view the next X amount of products?

Is this possible? I know I can put products into COLS, I was just wonder it this is possible too?

It shows how to display ?? no of items and have a <next page> link
