URGENT - error in checkout displays

    Hi

I have a cart at www.golf-prints.org/portfolios/summer2003buy.html that was working fine ... until this morning.

All of a sudden now, when I try to checkout the pages aren't displaying properly. It looks as if the style sheet isn't loading, but it's clearly up there on the server.

Please can you help. I've just put in an activation request to World Pay to switch us live, but think they're unlikely to do so while the checkout's displayed in this way.

    TIA
    Debbie

I've just been investigating this problem a little further and it appears to only occur on random PCs. It was working fine at the end of last week, and no template or script changes have been made since then.

The problem occurs when the 'Add to Cart' button is pressed ie. when the visitor is taken to the Cart page. At that point in my browser on my main PC everything appears to load, except the images (which of course makes it almost impossible to navigate unless you are familiar with the buttons). Also, it appears that the page isn't picking up the style sheet formatting for the text.

I'm using (an adapted) Layout 3 from the Clean Layouts. When I try and load the page in IE6 on a PC running XP professional it show an error on loading.

Incidentally, I've just tried loading the page in Netscape 4.8 on the same PC and, while not the prettiest, it loads fine.

So, and IE6 problem. But it seems to load fine on other PCs that I have also using IE6.

Please does anyone have any clues?

My guess is that you have a corrupt session file that affects your PC. This 'session' file sits in the 'acatalog' folder online and remembers your shopping cart. It also stores where the 'acatalog' folder of your Actinic store can be found.

My suggestion to you is to wait for a quiet moment (like first thing in the morning) and then go to 'Help | Troubleshooting' and click 'Purge Session Files'. The next time you visit the store you will be a new customer and everything should start working correctly.

Thanks for that Chris, I think that was exactly the problem. Now solved ... yay ... happy Debbie
