Creating options

Hi
I want to put up a product that we do in different lengths and widths, thus resulting in different prices. Is it possible to put together different pick lists which in turn bring on the price?

You can do this with components with say a drop down list with each item in the list having a unique price.

Norman over at www.drillpine.biz also has done similar things with plug-ins and code changes and well worth checking out

If you have a finite and manageable range of lengths and widths, then try this.

Add a Component with two Attributes (Length and Width).

You then set all the Choices for each Attribute to contain your size ranges.

Now click the component and look in the Permutations tab.

Do Fill List and you will have an entry for every combibation.

Now add prices to that lot (that is why I said this will only work of you've a finite and manageable range).

If you have a huge set of possible sizes, that make the above impractible, then I may be able to help with some custom coding that calculates the price mathematically. You'd have to contact me by email for this.
