    Remove Left Navigation Sub Sections

    Hi,

    I'm totally new to Actinic having used Netobjects Fusion for the past 7 years but am gradually picking up how it works.

    I have a question that will no doubt sound totally stupid to most of you ! ... but i can't figure out what to do.

    I've uploaded a couple of sample pages to this site : www.everymobilephone.co.uk

    On the left menu you will see : Acer, then on the next level down (just below it): Acer C1001 and Acer D77.

    Eventually, there will be around 100 manufacturers like Acer is now down that left hand side, an average of 300 models under each one of those manufacturers (as per how the Acer C1001 and D77 are shown now) and 15 different products on each of the final model pages. So as it stands now i'd if i came to upload all the pages i'd have a menu 30000 lines long !

    That is basically the problem, I can't find any way of just showing the main (top level ?) navigation down the left hand side. ie. I would like to just see the 100 manufacturers down the side on each and every page and then if any one of these were clicked the 300+ model links would be listed on the central area of the next page.

    Thanks in advance for any replies

    Dave

    Go to http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/index.htm and look for Downloads | Documentation. Get yourself the word variety of the Advanced User Guide. (the PDF version leads to line wrap errors when you copy and paste code)

    This has a whole section dedicated to altering the left menu content.

      Many thanks for the reply,

      I've replaced :

      <script language=Javascript1.2>
      document.write(YahooSections(section_tree))
      </script>

      With :

      NETQUOTEVAR:TOPLEVELSECTIONSTOP

      on a few of the pages including Act_Primary.html . I've re-uploaded and the structure is now exactly as i want 'at & under' the following level : http://www.everymobilephone.co.uk/acatalog/index.html

      Above this level, ie. the index page it's still got the subsections displayed below the main sections - Does anyone know which page i need to alter to correct this ?

      Sorry if it's a stupid question again, but Netobjects was nothing like Actinic ... so it's all new to me

      Cheers
      Dave

        For the Brochure pages it will be Act_BrochurePrimary.html or in Advanced | Template Manager, click on 'Brochure' then on 'Main'.
