Replacing the Content Tree with a JavaScript menu

I've created a JavaScript menu to replace the automatically generated Content Tree but can't seem to get it to work.... as a standalone peice of code it works fine when uploaded but when I try to integrate it into Act_Primary the menu doesn't work and i get javascript errors at the bottom of the page!! I know the JavaScript code is ok, I just don't quite understand how to integrate it into Actinic.... can anyone help??

Actinic has built in Javascript Menu generating and placement code - in fact I already answered another post today giving the support page address, and details of how to find the downloadable Advanced User Guide, which devotes an entire section to alternate javascript menu structures.

For debugging JavaScript, look at your page with Firefox and use it's Tools / JavaScript console.
