Limited by location of Payment Method

I have limit by location set up for 2 of my payment methods, Nochex and send cheque

However today my site accepted 2 orders with an invoice address of USA and a shipping address of Jordan both using the send cheque method which should not be available to either country

    I am using 7.0.6

Is this an outstanding bug and if so when will it be fixed as this is causing confusion all round

    Thanks

    Jane,

I do not think this is a bug. Are Nochecx and Send Cheque the only 2 methods of payment available on the site? If so, does any one of them have the 'Fallback' option selected. Also recheck to see if you have the US in the Limited by Location selection for 'Send Cheque - Alternative payment method for UK', you need to remove it from here.

I was able to replicate the order, Jordan is not available for the invoice area, but sure is for the delivery address. The only payment option (pre selected) was 'Send Cheque', so they did not have much choice. If you do not wish to send to Jordan, you need to remove it from Advanced | Locations.

    Kind regards,

      My setup

I have 3 payment options configured on this site

1 Protx - which is limited by location but would be available to US
2 Nochex - which is limited by location - 1 zone created and only UK in it
3 Send Cheque - as for Nochex is limited to UK only - fallback method

I have no idea why someone with a US invoice address and a jordan delivery address could even see/choose the send check method

Also my shipping options should not list jordan as it is not part of any of the zones i have created there

A US customer should only be offered Protx as a payment method and should not be able to set delivery to Jordan and i cant work out why Actinic is allowing it

Thanks in advance for your help

        Jane,

Looking at the order area on the website again, if you go to teh checkout area, you are asked to select an Invoice location ( this drop down comes from the countries in the Tax zones ), then you are asked for a Delivery address ( this drop down comes from the shipping zones ) and here you can select 'Jordan'. I would suggest checking each zone by highlighting the zone, right click and select 'properties' to see who are members of which zone.

Might also be worthwile going over the limited by location area to see which countries are members.

The reason for you getting those orders is that between the limited by location for the payment, the Tax zones and Shipping zones validation, actinic has recognised that it cannot ship to Jordan, but has a valid invoice address hence it has taken the fallback method as payment to allow the order through, but giving you the option to send or not upon clarification.

        Kind regards,
