I am using Actinic Audio Store with Protx, I woudl like to put an item on my store in advance of it being available to attract pre-orders, Is this possible without processing the payments until the orders are ready to be sent.

There is no way in actinic of defining different order processing rules based on products bought or any other criteria.

So you would have to collect credit card details and process them later for all orders (by setting up your PSP to pre-authorise payments or by collecting the card details and entering them manually when needed).

I just add the product to the site without a tick on "Can be ordered online" this gets the page indexed by SES in advance, but of course doesn't allow you to take orders/backorders.

You could add an email link, saying please notify me me when this product becomes available to buy
