    Price Increases

    Hi

    I need a quick way to update some of the prices on the site - I believe this can be done my exporting and importing a CSV file. Prices are shown on the site including VAT and excluding VAT and many of the products have components and attributes - will this still work?

    I've never done this before so don't really know where to start. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    I would run the export function to get the csv file which you can then edit, take a look at it... run a few tests with a couple of products and see how you go.

    Key is test with one or 2 products to test the water as you can easily go back the the product tree and overwrite your errors if you get it wrong.

      We recently did this for a client with a fixed % increase sitewide and Jo was on the money.

      Our path was:

      export to csv *and save 2 copies just in case
      import to excel
      add increase formula into an end column
      add = to into current price formula (to replace content)
      save as csv with new name...
      open
      import
      voila

      Hope that helps
