Location and Arrangement of Sections

Hi there,

I am testing Actinic and I have a section with 6 products. I have specified the Location and Arrangement of Sections List with the following:

Override Default Settings: ticked
List Placement: default
First Row Column Count: 3
Subsequent Row Column Count: 3

So I would expect to see two rows of products with three products per row... I am not having much luck.

In the "Laying Out Your Products in Multiple Columns" within the advanced user guide tells me to copy and paste some different code in the following pages:

Act_ProductBody.html
Act_ProductSeparator.html
Act_ProductLine.html

Than Go into 'Advanced | Custom Properties', click the "+" sign and create a property called
'NUMCOLS' of type 'text'. Click 'OK'.

Is there any shorter way of doing this from within actinic.

As you say, the settings you refer to are for the sections not the products.

There is no easier way to layout products in columns than that mentioned in the AUG. It's not so difficult though - why not backup your templates and give it a go.

You might want to consider using V8 if you haven't started your build yet and can wait a few weeks.
