Oh dear - What have I done?

I hope someone can help !

We've got a live website and I'm transferring it over to Actinic and all was going well.

I've got a spreadsheet with all the info that was imported and everything looked fab. I've made the website live to test it out (access at this stage is through Username/Password so only I have access to it).

I've added some extra info to the spreadsheet now and have imported it but only a few of the products have uploaded (about 135 out of 4000 odd). The progress window is showing all the lines have been read and the Sections are imported but no products are showing under the headings and there are no Error Messages -

I'm completely baffled now. I'm very new to Actinic so a gently gently explanation would be great ! LOL

You could check that you haven't got the products marked 'hide on website'.

I can't see any problems or find any sections without products. Can you give an example of a section that is missing products that we can see online?

Thank you for taking a look for me.

The online website looks ok because I couldn't get the newer one to upload.

The last time I tried uploading everything went well until it got to 'Purge Files' I think it was - the progress bar was taking for ever. Last night it took an hour to move about 6 bars !

I will double check the 'Hide' feature but I did look at that as soon as I had a problem.

Not sure what's going on.
A couple of things:
Have you tried doing a network test again?
You could try manually purging the site (via an ftp client) and then uploading with Actinic.
Also a purge and compact of the database is always a good thing to try.

Hello again !

Well I've managed to get the Products all uploaded. I took out a lot of the twiddly bit columns in the spreadsheet so as I was left with the bare bones of information which has seemed to do the trick. I'll add a column or two at a time and import again.

Thanks for your help though.

Now I've just got to get my Proxy and FTP Settings accepted. During my investigations I uploaded a Patch from Actinic and it looks like somewhere along the way my settings got wiped. Mind you that was probably down to me not the Patch !
