Two small problems.

1. Anyway I can show the discounted price in the catalog instead of the cart and checkout area.

2. I've created a discount for a certain list of products, I want this discount to happen once (ever, not per order) with every customer on the list. Can this be done, how?

1. Anyway I can show the discounted price in the catalog instead of the cart and checkout area.

This is a wish list item as it is necessary to get to the cart for the discounts to kick in.

2. I've created a discount for a certain list of products, I want this discount to happen once (ever, not per order) with every customer on the list. Can this be done, how?

You could use coupon codes to do this, but it would mean checking each order and then disabling or deleting the coupon code within Actinic. What you are referring to is a Gift Voucher sort of thing which is not how it works with Actinic.
