    Epos Software Information in About Us

    Hi All,

    Simple question I hope but I seem to be getting a message at the foot of my About_Us page entitled Epos Software Information. This is a link to an actinic site and I am not sure what template is putting this text in the page. I have checked the design text and there is nothing in there. I have also searched through all files finding this string (I have to say though in the past this has shown no results only to find that when I open a template the phrase is there - why does windows search in files 'containing text' not find this?) and I cannot find it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Alan.

    Epos... is this in the latest v7 version then...

    Anyway.. Used to be Actinic ecommerce as the link, which is located (functionality wise) within Design | Options | Site Defaults and untick the Enable for Actinic Refrerral Scheme.

    Another one lurks within Advanced | Template Manager | Other Pages | Info Page button...

    NETQUOTEVAR:POWEREDBY2

    Which I always change to:

    <!--NETQUOTEVAR:POWEREDBY2-->

    This might be it, but not seen this Epos message, so maybe in the latest release of v7.

        Thanks Charles,

        I did find the solution yesterday, although I have to admit it followed a call to your support line. I love Actinic but sometimes I feel the product is a little let down by undocumented functions, NETQUOTEVAR's whose function,template cannot be found anywhere in the documentation and obviously what appears to be a legacy lack of development standards when the foundation of the product was developed. This is apparent by the way in which some items are accessible from Design/Text and others in templates. I am sure that I am not the first person who has had to check in three and possibly four locations in order to find a solution as the location is not always consistent.

        This is not mean as a moan, simply a constructive suggestion that Actinic should invest more time and effort in a consistent approach to supplying maintenance for flexibile or configurable options as well as ensuring that the documentation is comprehensive and all features are documented and there are no omissions in the variables/templates and design text.

        I feel better now.

        Thanks again for your help.

        Alan.
