Adding a custum text box to a product

Has anyone ever added a custom text entry to a product ?

This is inbuilt - against the product select the "layout" tab and then the "other info question" .. this allows the user to input text which is passed along with the product details in the cart ... useful for adding say text to a message card.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean but If you want a customer to be able tro add some custom text when ordering a product, then you can use the product's 'Other Info Question' on the product Layout tab.
