Help with VIEW BASKET & CHECKOUT link on the home page!

    Hi Everyone

Here I am again, at the source of all knowledge that is wise!

    this is re: http://www.northstardesign.co.uk/empress

The CHECKOUT and the VIEW BASKET buttons are not working. They work fine when I click through to a different section of the site. Could someone point me to right place to make these work?

I've noticed that the link on the index.html page looks like this:

    http://www.northstardesign.co.uk/emp...CTION=SHOWCART

This happens when I click VIEW BASKET (and does a similar thing when I click CHECKOUT). I can clearly see why the link isnt working, i just don't know where to go to fix it.

Please (again) help me, you guys are a fountain of knowledge that so many of us couldnt live without!

    Kindest Regards
    Tom

You have a double slash // in the path between acatalog and cgi-bin - BUT the whole /acatalog/ bit should not be there.

Check your setting in Website URL in View | Business Settings - this Should be the base address of the site http ://www. northstardesign.co.uk/empress

(spaces added to stop the link being processed)

      thanks for the reply.

I did notice that the link had 2 slashes in, and that was the reason it wasnt working, however... I changed the Web Site Address in Business settings, and this didnt make a difference.

Are you sure its not the settings in ADVANCED NETWORK SETUP that need to change?

Could be - do you have the /acatalog/ on your website url entry there? (That's the box near the bottom) It should be part of the catalog URL, but the web site URL should be the root folder - which in your case appears to be empress (with no trailing slash).
