    web site will not refresh

    Hi all

We have an actinicwebsite that has been running for a few years. The PC that has the actinic software on crashed and we had to reinstall actinic. We used a snapshot to rebuild the shop and used the same network settings (we have them on a screen grabbed print)

When trying to refresh the web site the refresh seems to go ok ubtil the very end when we get the following error message

An error occured while merging files on the remotesite.
The web site index has been corrupted.
Catalog is unable to update the index. Copy ./acatalog/fulltext.fil
to ./acatalog/fulltext.fil failed. Please refresh site.

As the error requests we try to refresh but get the error message again.

Can anyone suggest a solution please

you can log into the webspace and remove this file without causing a problem , also remove it fro, site1 and refresh again.

fil files are generated as part of the upload procedure thus to remove it is fine

        still broken

We have tried manually deleting the .fil as suggested.

There is now an additional problem.

The catalog has a page that links to a few pdf files, the pdf files normally upload as additional files. But now during refresh and upload the uploading hangs at the PDFs.

As a short term fix we are removing the PDGFs from the additional files folder and then uploading manually. But we still get the original error when refreshing of updating the catalog.

Any clues to what is going wrong?

Try deleting the site from the server and doing a purge and refresh.

The problem was with a file in the CGI bin, once deleted and the site refreshed all is fine.

                Thanks
