Search Problem

Site holds all content but search does not work for certain search terms. Using reference numbers on site of products and products are online. Go to search and it comes back with no results.

Any ideas?

Whilst looking through my site (getting ready for launch) i try the quick search for a product which i know is onthe site. I can find it when i go to its section but when attempting to search for it it cannot be found. Any clues?

Without you giving an example we're just guessing.
Have you set the Search Options in Actinic? (View|Search Settings - Indexing Options)

search for 203-1CL in quick search. It wont come up.

its the first item to come up.

Hmm, yes - but 203 finds both that and the 203-1GS.

Hyphen *should* work in a product reference. What version are you using?

i have tried putting in the hyphen in accepted search terms but it still refuses to find some products. it now finds the example but not others! D'oh!

I just tried 203-1gs and had an immediate find - try clearing your browser cache - it may be picking up a cached failure.

try finding 121-1 or 121-2 because that still wont work for me. having said that it could just be this machine.
