    Free delivery for some products

    Hi

I am new to actinic and am struggling with the shipping setups

I am using order value to create the shipping charge which is working correctly

However I also sell some items that need to be free shipping, does anyone know how to do this?

    thanks

    Hi Nicola

The best way would be to use weight and set the free items to zero weight and have this as an option in you shipping table. So all items that have no weight have no charge and as soon as they add someting to the basket that has a weight the charges will kick in

    hope this helps a bit

Thanks for the reply, however I was hoping to keep the value based shipping charge.

I currently haven't got weights for all my products so that would be a mamouth task to sort out

        Nicola,

The only way forward will be using weights. You could tackle this by using the Database, open ActinicCatalog.mdb ( in the Site1 folder) and open the 'Product' table. You can then copy out the contents of the 'Short description' - Product name and the 'ShippingOpagueData' - Weight, columns and then update it in Excell. You can copy the 'ShippingOpagueData' column from Excell and paste into the Product table.

Please make note to make a backup of the database and save to another location before attempting any changes, just incase it all falls flat !!

        Kind regards,
