    "Don't ask me again" ... OOPS !

When uploading our shop, I got bored with answering "do you want to overwrite index.htm" every time ... our in-house answer is NO as it destroys our non-Actinic home page ... so I ticked "don't ask me again" and then "NO".

The trouble is, Actinic has remembered not to ask me again, but is applying the default YES every time, and killing our home page.

How and where do I find a configuration file that will let me choose again ... better still, can you set the default to "NO" ?

    We're running Actinic v7 Business.

I don't think that you can change the default action, but you can get the question to reappear by going to housekeeping / warning messages and ticking show for that message.

You can set the filename for the basepage for the brochure page by going to the brochure home page in the catalog tree, and changing the page name from index.html to something else - the navigation links on the menus etc will probably then go to the default one, but maybe you could put a redirect on this new page name to make them go back to index.html.

Would that not result in anyone coming from the real index html to this page being stuck in a loop? I think the home link will have to be hardcoded.

I don't think so ... actinic generated home page would be called say ActIndex.html, but ActIndex.html would redirect to index.html. Index.html doesn't redirect anywhere so there would be no loop.

Oh OK, you would have ActIndex as a 'no content except a redirect' page and not link to it from index.htm.

I would have given the page content, hardcoded the home links, and included a link to Actindex from index.

          Your way is less work
