BACKGROUND TO QUESTION
I need to make changes to the OTHERINFOPROMPT so that it displays as a multi line.

To do so I will make changes to Design | Text and alter actinicorder.pm and orderscripts.pl.

No Products are currently using the OTHERINFOPROMPT variable.

ACTUAL QUESTION
As I look after a very very large website I need to know what actinic will do if I make these changes. Will these changes make actinic upload every product? Or will these changes only require actinic to upload the clever stuff with regards to the shopping cart files?

The changes to design text will cause a reload of prompt.fil.

The perl changes will cause the derivative scripts to be rewritten.

No affect at all on products until you use an otherinfo prompt on (a) product(s).

Effect on checkout page(s) will depend on whether you have a question defined for the prompt in checkout.

And the only other thing to note is that the Perl script changes will be lost if you upgrade Actinic to a new version.
