What if any is the difference between cutting or deleting a product. The reason I ask is because with cutting you don't need to go through the extra work of purging.

Cutting places the 'cut part' into the clipboard; deleting marks for deletion when purged. Both will do the job as you've found out but the neater way is to delete which does not use the clipboard memory. After cutting (as well as deleting) you should compact.
Out of interest you can type the following at the command prompt to view (and use) the clipboard: clipbrd
-
But each 'cut' item will take up PC memory until it is deleted from the clipboard, so at some stage your PC will slow down - unless you have a routine to empty the clipboard.Bill

Jan, take it you found that out when you tried to do a multiple cut and paste?
Useful to know, though - thanks.Bill
