How to allow Customer to register for a New Account?

Hi thr!

I have read the 'Allowing customers to register for accounts online' topic in user manual. But I am not really getting the point on 'How and where to allow the customer to register'. Especially, the problem is:
1. Where to input username and password for new customer?
2. Will the customer will have to register (for invoice details which is being used as registration detail as per the manual) everytime he visits the site for shopping.

Please help.
