upload really slow

since last Friday uploading to the FTP server has taken an hour instead of the normal 2 minutes. It seems that if I refresh the site then it cures the problem but only for a few hours. I have tried compacting the datbase and using a different pc to upload but to no avail. Does anyone have any bright ideas - a good bottle of wine sent to the the person with the correct answer!!

Have you tried manually uploading files to your server to check the upload speed? Perhaps it's your server end.

Check you connection speed BT may be doing work on the line which is slowing the connection speed.

Off thread about item in the terms regarding corked wine :

"Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds if the wine has been purchased by a company or individual in the wine trade."

Does that comply with all the various nasty legislation?
