coupons and cookies

Hi All
I am having an issue with a coupon code that I am issuing to previous customers. It appears that the code is not recognised (ie. no discount is applied) unless they clear their cookies.
I have found this out by e-mailing a lot of my previous customers and rudely asking why they havent returned to my shop and also by experimenting with the checkout myself.
Has anyone else found this issue or is there something I am possibly doing wrong?

Hi

I don't think anything can be done from within the software other then doing a full refresh of the site . One more thing that you can do is put some sort of message warning customers who are viewing cached pages . Have you got in touch with your hosting company to see if they can help in any way.
