Vanishing Products!! & Sage

I am a complete beginner/ new user....My webdesigner has sent me a copy of the software & a snapshot. I imported the snapshot & then "updated" after a couple of changes, now it appears the test items he loaded into the system are not there when I click on the links on the left - browse products. Any ideas what i have done wrong? I also have a new copy of sage line 50. Do you recommend I load my products into sage then import? Any assistance much appreciated - as you can see I have my work cut out!!

I also had an error as follows:Some of the configuartion variables were not found on the HTML templates.....Try restoring from backup etc.

I did this, imported the snapshot again and then uploaded and still the same error. Is the snapshot the same as a backup?

Iwould uninstall Actinic and start again.

This time do not make any changes, just install the software, and import the snapshot as sent by your designer.

Ensure what you have received from your designer works before you make any changes.
