Might be an idea to give a current online example or what you mean? ie a site which uses this at the moment.

Ok Here I go as I have not come across any site that has this at the moment

On The main home page I have the usual links, Contact us, search bar etc at the top.

The program is enclosed in frames

I have 4 website store sections at the side

            Website 1
            Website 2
            Website 3
            Website 4

When I click on Website 1 the main brochure page in the middle encloses the live details from website 1 but the frames remain unchanged.

When I click on Website 2 the main brochure page encloses the live details from website 2 but the frames again remain unchanged.

The same remains for website 3 and 4 if clicked on. The Contact us details at the top of the page is the same and does not change at all.

Hope this is of help and explains a liittle of what I am trying to achieve.

            Thanks in advance.

Normally if no-one answers its because they have no answer to give.

I still don't really understand what you are trying to acheive,

My only suggestion, is to simply place images of the 4 websites in the 4 frames and allow the site to load (full screen) when clicked

Not exactly, your page will remain unchanged, but a new window will open up over the top of it containing the website relating to the screenshot gif that was selected.

If I understand you correctly, you are looking to do something like this (my friends site) but rather than have a series of gifs, you want to somehow show the sites 'live'.

I have no clue whatsoever, and I think this may go beyond the usual V7 support.
Trying to squeeze my moneys worth out of V7 - but not for much longer!

Do you want to have 1 website as a portal for the 4 sites ... so each site is accessible from the one surrounding links whilst retaining the navigation at the top etc?

If so you are about 10 years behind as this will require the use of frames which is a nightmare from an SEO and a usability point of view. You will not be able to retain the top navigation as you have 4 different sites - so it wont (unless you have some very heavy duty scripting involved) know which actinic site is which. You could get into all sorts of difficulties due to the referring sites URL, cookies etc. Frames are a nightmare to navigate and are easily broken by users browser settings.

A simpler solution could be to create a new site and have the top level navigation pointing to your 4 "websites" as sections and have everything contained within the 1 actinic site

I have tried all suggestions but it is opening a new window taking it away from my site. To get back if several pages are viewed the back button needs to be pressed several times to navigate back to my site.

This means my Contact Us button and details are removed as it is being diverted away. Is there a code in Actinic I can use that will keep the live site/portal in the Actinic frame?. As the site is almost updated daily it is almost impossible to keep track of the changes.

                        Thanks again

Andrew - if you are concerned about taking visitors off your site, why are you linking to these other websites anyway?

Are you selling their products and trying to avoid having to create and maintain your own catalogue and informational pages?

If someone buys a product - is it your intention that they will process their order through your shopping basket or directly in the shopping basket of each other involved site?

Without understanding why you want to do something which is very unusual, it is hard to give meaningful help.

                            Hi Bill,

Thanks for you reply. They are Mini sites that do not give any contact details
only descriptions of the products. Customers have to contact me for prices on the products.

Not a very good business plan. People who are shopping online tend to be impatient, ie if they choose to buy they want to complete the transaction there and then.

Not having a price will not result in many enquiries as people immediately think you have something to hide.

Why 4 sites, why not one? again studies prove that people who have to "pogo stick" at less likely to buy.

You need to present as much info you can in one list for easy scanning to maximise the chance of a sale.

Bear in mind that any product can be bought from numerous shops, often you have 10 secs ( ok 2 seconds) to grab someones attention, if that 2 seconds has to be spent clicking around, the chances are the visitor will click away from your site.
