Some one explain the sage to atinic link please

Im trying to import sage line 50 data (v12) and im having a few problems, i want to link my products,

(give my actinic products a sage reference, for stock control purposes, but i don't want to change either product properties (ie giving them a same discription)

I have turned off the auto generated referances, but am getting this error.

"Line 6: A product with this reference already exist in another section"

Could someone give me a checklist of what im doing, this problem is relating to actinic product 838 being link to my product in sage which i have linked using the product link translation

if it helps this is how the website is set up

    Hi,

In Sage, do you use the category field or the 'Web' tab to set the section that the products should be transferred into Actinic from?

When you import the products from Sage, are you replacing the contents of your catalog or just updating?
