Is there a Component Valid alternative when sold out of an option?

Hi all

On my site I sell pen ink cartridges in a combination of various pack sizes and various colours. To do this I am creating a Product with a Component and then two Attributes (Pack Size & Colour) with various Choices.
Is there any way of temporarily 'disabling' an option (i.e Pack of Ten in Blue if we have sold out) so that it's not visible to the customer at the point of their choosing? I'm aware of using the Valid option but this makes all the options available and only makes the customer aware that his choice is unavailable when he tries to add it to his shopping basket.
Any help much appreciated.

Andy,

This will have to be put on a wish list. I will add it in there for you. The only way to do it is to delete the choice/permutation and reinstate when it is available.

In v8 this is possible by using conditions.
