    Button to parent section?

How can I create a button for a product that takes them to the products parent section?

There is a similar question in the v6 forum and the answer was "<a href="NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBUPLINK">...</a>", but this isn't recognised and I can't find it in any of the documentation so I guess it changed in v7?

Page 163 of the adnavced user guide shows it as NAVBUP

That doesn't seem to be resolved in either Act_productline.html or Act_productbody.html - maybe it is context sensitive?

From memory doesn't the AUG suggest that command can only be used in the top level templates (Act_Primary.html etc)????

I'm not sure. the AUG doesn't really explain what the headings in that section mean. It says it is found in the primary/broch_primary templates, but doesn't explain if that's the only place they can be used.

But either way, it doesn't seem to work, so is there another way to do this for product pages only? (other than the very tiresome sounding task of creating a separate primary template for product pages only...)

or the equally hasslesome task of adding another customvar with the parent link in it to my 2000+ products...

The templates beneath the heading are the ones it can be used. Have you tried it in the Act_Primary.html without the anchor tags as per your post above? Just "NAVBUP"

NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBUP does work from the primary template - and it does exactly what I want - however, that doesn't help me. Even if I were to create a separate primary template for the products I couldn't get the button where I want it because the buttons I want it next to are in the product templates.

So unless there is another variable that works in that contect I guess I'll have to go the customvar route...
