if all you are doing is running Actinic from the slaptop then anything will do, buy secondhand but get something like a 300MHz PII. If you wanted to run a few more things (like graphics programmes for editing images for the site etc then I'd look at moving up the scale a bit - but don't be fooled by the multi-GHz systems - nobody really needs this kind of power. If you want brand new shop around and go for what you feel comfortable with, just don't go PCworld/Time or whatever. If you have a problem all they tell you to do is format the disk, which doesn't solve any problem at all but means that if you haven't backed up any of your data then you are fubar'ed!
