customvar Strange Problem

I've created a new customvar:telephoneno in the custom properties using TELEPHONENO as the Property, text as the Type and TELEPHONENO as the Custom Property name.

I've added the customvar the the correct template and in Design Options, Site defaults, iv'e added TELEPHONENO as the Property and TELEPHONE NUMBER as the value.

The problem is that the telephone number isn't showing in the page preview or on the live site.

am i missing something out here?

I've taken the extra box off the live site now.
As far as i can see, i've done everything right. I've checked with the other info box's and all seems ok.

unless we can actually see what you've done there is little we can do to help

In Design | Options - Site Defaults to the right of the value - did you tick 'Use as Customvar" ?
