my contact us gives 'error'

I have dome a test on the network setup and my email settings are fine.However I recently discoverd that my contact us page gives the following error message

Error received from SMPT SERVER (4 AUTHENTICATION RETURNED ON YOUR EMAIL CLIENT)

MY WEBSITE IS http://www.gracefashionshop.com

You will have to contact your host about this error message. It most probably means that your server has Authentication enabled and you need to have the same done in Advanced | Network Setup.

Does the Network Test pass succesfully even now? Do you get other emails like when orders are placed and such?

yes, the test still pases now.Also all the test emails that I tested the contact page with all came through to my mail box the other day even though the error message still comes up each time I try

Same problem & original starter not fixed.

I have the same problem, which led me to check the contact us page at gracefashions - that site is still giving the same message, identical to mine.

The advice at #2 above is check with the host - my host agent said, not his/their problem.

So I'm bumping this thread back to the top in the hope somebody has come across it before?

The actual error is

SMTP SERVER (4 AUTHENTICATION TURNED ON AT YOUR EMAIL SERVER)

This means that SMTP authentification is required in 'Web Network Setup'. Check with your web host what details you should be using for the authentification.
