Does anyone know if it is possible, in a reasonably simple way, to put an 'Add to Cart' button on the search results page?

Duncan has answered this here http://community.actinic.com/showthr...t+search+pages
In essence Actinic works from static pages and the serach is created dynamically ... this is a wish list item for v9 and beyond

Just looking at your site under FireFox and the links at the bottom of the pages are doing the mouse over dance (different size of text is being declared in the a:hover state)
You may also want to consider the effectiveness of having that many links on each page ..... you could be in danger of getting hit by Google and it does not really look that good to users (I clicked on 3 links and 2 were not found but how many users are going to read through them all?) ... often links to the main sections and certainly to the sitemap are all that is required for the search engine spiders to crawl your pages.

Thanks for the feedback.
We are doing some SEO work with Teclan right now, and the site is not 100% correct. We need all that data at the bottom to highlight the areas that need attention.
When we are finished, that data should be reduced to about 1/3rd.
Funnily enough, we have had good feedback from customers saying it is nice to be able to browse all the products in an alphabetical listing, especially when they don't know exactly what the item they are looking for is called.
Isn't it strange how that happens? You are woring on something for one reason, and it helps in another way too!ArtyMiss

Back to your original question. It is technically feasible to do this (with some bespoke Perl patching) but only if your products contain no Choices. You could have a Quantity box and an Add to Cart button, but nothing else, in the search results.Norman - www.drillpine.biz

Thnat would work for us, as the only choice we give is the quantity. Would it be difficult?ArtyMiss

I don't know. It's technically possible, but I'd have to write some code to implement it. Best email me if you want a quote.Norman - www.drillpine.biz
